Coins for Community Sponsored by: Working to raise funds for the Truman Memorial Building- Palmer School restoration project, Blue Ridge Bank and Trust Company and The Examiner have joined efforts with the City of Independence and the Independence School District to establish the "Coins for Community" campaign. Through the campaign, area businesses, Independence residents and Independence School District students have the opportunity to collect contributions with special "Coins for Community" banks distributed in The Examiner and the classrooms of the Independence schools. When the bank is full, bring it to any Blue Ridge Bank location and become eligible for special prize promotions. Prize promotions will be announced in The Examiner.
